We’re more than just a performing arts studio — we’re a vibrant, supportive community where creativity, confidence, and connection come to life. Whether you’re a first-time EIR Studio Community family or a returning family, this guidebook is here to help you feel informed, inspired, and in sync with everything we do.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your experience: class info, studio policies, important dates, and tips for success — all designed to help you and your child flourish.

Safe Space
Expressions in Rhythm Studio ("the Studio") is committed to maintaining an environment that recognizes and respects the inherent dignity and value of every student ("Expresser"). The Studio endeavors to provide a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive atmosphere conducive to learning, growth, and achievement.
To that end, the Studio strictly prohibits any form of harassment, bullying, or behavior that creates a hostile environment. For purposes of this policy, a "hostile environment" exists when conduct is subjectively perceived by an Expresser as harassing or bullying and is objectively determined to be sufficiently severe or pervasive that a reasonable person would also conclude that it constitutes harassment or bullying. Such a hostile environment may arise from repeated conduct or from a single incident if that incident is sufficiently severe.
Intellectual Property
All choreography, costuming, musical arrangements, instructional materials, and studio policies developed by or on behalf of Expressions in Rhythm Studio ("EIR Studio") constitute the exclusive intellectual property of EIR Studio. No portion of this intellectual property may be copied, reproduced, performed, displayed, distributed, adapted, transmitted, or otherwise used, in whole or in part, by any Expresser, parent, guardian, staff member, or third party without the prior express written consent of the CEO of EIR Studio.
Expectations of the EIR Studio Community
We want Expressers to maximize their potential in our program and we need you to be successful! Allow Expressers the space and freedom to explore the performing arts on their own. It can take younger Expressers six weeks to appreciate the structure of our classes, and that’s okay!
Social Media Policy
Anonymity on social media is never guaranteed. Expressions in Rhythm Studio exercises particular caution when posting images and videos identifying Expressers and expects the same decorum from the EIR Studio Community.
● Any comments or posts perceived to be obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory or hateful towards Expressions in Rhythm Studio staff, Expressers or the EIR Studio Community may be subject to the dismissal from Expressions in Rhythm Studio and/or legal action.
● Any content revealing or referring to sensitive studio information is not allowed to be shared on social media. This includes intellectual property, which is not limited to costumes for upcoming performances, choreography, handbooks, and class syllabi.
● Refrain from posting images of Expressers at Expressions in Rhythm Studio that are racially, sexually, physically, or religiously offensive.
● All matters pertaining directly to the studio – whether it be fees, scheduling, EIRSDC placements or performance opportunities – may not be communicated via social media. We have an open-door policy and encourage all communication, and feedback communicated to the Directors by sending an email to info@eirstudio.com.
● We encourage the EIR Studio Community and Expressers to respect the personal boundaries of the EIR Studio Team by not becoming friends or followers on social media, unless there is an existing relationship.
● You may not post photographs and/or videos that feature Expressions in Rhythm Studio Expressers other than your own online without the proven consent of their parent/guardian.

Expresser of the Year Award
Expresser of the Year honors an Expresser who consistently demonstrates growth, character, commitment, and community impact throughout the season. Expresser of the Year represents consistent growth, character, commitment, and community impact throughout the season. This award honors not just talent, but the values we strive to build in every Expresser at Expressions in Rhythm Studio. This award is aspirational and values-driven.
Class Information
Our Performance Season begins each year on the first Monday in August and runs through the Thursday before Father's Day in June.
When enrolling in classes, Expressers (our amazing students!) should choose based on their interests, family schedules, and age group. Please make sure your Expresser meets the age requirement for their class by December 31, 2026. You can always refer to the Studio Calendar for specific class dates, times, and age guidelines.
Class Attire
At Expressions in Rhythm Studio, we believe that setting our Expressers up for success starts before they even walk through the door! That's why we have a Class Attire Policy in place. Proper class attire allows our instructors to clearly see your child's silhouette, helping us teach correct form, ensure safe technique, and maintain modesty — all while building your child's confidence and sense of accomplishment.

Studio Closings
At Expressions in Rhythm Studio, we believe in working hard and celebrating well-deserved breaks, too! Throughout Season 13, our Studio will be closed on the following dates:
November 23 - 29: Thanksgiving Recess
December 21 - January 3: Winter Recess
January 18: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
March 29 - April 4: Spring Recess
May 28 - 31: Memorial Day Recess
June 20 - August 1: Performance Season Recess
While the Studio is closed, please note that our team will also be taking a break. We do not answer emails, texts, or phone calls during these designated closures. All important updates and Studio information are always available in the EIR Studio Express, our monthly newsletter, and on the EIR Studio Community Web Page. We make sure this information is detailed so the EIR Studio Community is well-informed. Make sure to check it regularly so you stay in the know!
