Meet the Browns
Hi, we are Preston and Belinda Brown, and we’re so excited to welcome you to Expressions in Rhythm Studio, a community-focused, technique-driven, family-owned performing arts studio, born out of a love for dance and music. We opened our doors in Southeast Raleigh because this is where our own children grew up, and we saw a need for a place where kids could thrive in both dance and music.
Since 2014, we’ve been nurturing young artists and 11 years later, our children are now adults. Now, your child can be part of the legacy we’re building through dance and music. Today, we continue to inspire children ages 2–18 to grow in confidence, creativity, and skill.

Djembe Drumming at Expressions in Rhythm Studio is a bold, high-energy journey into the heartbeat of African traditions—where students master polyrhythms, unleash creativity, and, after three consecutive months, enjoy discounted tuition when performing for our African Dance class.

If your dancer is ready to grow, shine, and thrive, Dance Company will guide them on a purposeful journey filled with confidence, community, and unforgettable experiences, while taking their training to the next level.
Performance Dance Program
If your dancer loves the spotlight, Performance Company gives them the chance to take center stage at exciting community events across the Triangle—building confidence, experience, and memories that last a lifetime.
