At Expressions in Rhythm Studio, our Leadership & Instructional Team consists of professionally trained educators and administrators dedicated to artistic excellence and student growth.

Our Leadership & Instructional Team is made up of professionally trained educators and administrators with 50+ years of combined experience in dance, music, education, and youth development. Together, we provide structured, age-appropriate instruction that builds confidence, creativity, and consistency while supporting each Expresser’s growth at their own pace.

Ms. Bee — Founder and CEO

Ms. Bee provides the artistic and organizational vision for Expressions in Rhythm Studio, drawing on over four decades of experience in dance and education. Trained in African, Ballet, Jazz, Liturgical and Tap, she holds a degree from North Carolina Central University and is committed to developing confident, expressive performers through structured, joyful instruction.

Mr. PJ — CFO / COO

Mr. PJ leads the studio’s financial and operational strategy while serving as a skilled Djembe drummer and West African music instructor trained under Baba Bradley Simmons. He ensures organizational excellence behind the scenes while guiding students to connect rhythm and movement through technique, sound, and cultural appreciation.

Ms. Andria — Dance Instructor

Ms. Andria brings training in eight styles of dance, with a special focus on Tap and Hip Hop. A graduate of UNC Greensboro, she enjoys working with students of all levels while encouraging creativity, musicality, and confidence in every class.

Ms. Holloway — Dance Instructor

Ms. Holloway is an alumna of East Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education and obtained her K–12 teaching license. She is dedicated to creating a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment where students feel empowered to grow.

Ms. Shannon — Dance Instructor

Raised in Clinton, North Carolina, Ms. Shannon has trained in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. An alumna of UNC Greensboro, she is passionate about helping students discover their artistic voice while building strong foundational skills.

Ms. Anne — Dance Instructor

Originally from Maryland, Ms. Anne has trained extensively in multiple dance styles and holds a degree in Modern Biology from Louisiana State University of Alexandria. She is dedicated to creating a joyful learning environment that builds confidence and encourages self expression through dance.

Ms. Nyla — Dance Instructor

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Ms. Nyla began dancing at age three and trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at North Carolina Central University, with a focus on early childhood development and family relations, and brings a thoughtful, nurturing approach to her instruction.

Ms. Kate— Dance Instructor

Ms. Kate began ballet at age three and trained extensively in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop, with a foundation in Cecchetti ballet and performance experience with regional ballet companies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management from Appalachian State University and focuses on providing structured, supportive instruction that builds strong technique, confidence, and a positive learning experience for every student.

Ms. Laurin — Studio Coordinator

Born in New Jersey and raised in Florida, Ms. Laurin has studied Ballet, Tap, and piano for decades and holds a degree in Psychology. She brings a strong sense of mentorship, organization, and artistic guidance to the studio community.

Mr. Brendan — Facilities Coordinator

Originally from Queens, New York, Mr. Brendan oversees the safety, upkeep, and daily readiness of the studio space. A graduate of North Carolina Central University, his background in music supports his attention to detail and commitment to excellence in studio operations.

Ms. Bri — Marketing Coordinator

A former competitive dancer and award winning EIRSDC captain, Ms. Bri brings creativity, leadership, and firsthand studio experience to her role. She is currently a dance major at UNC Greensboro and supports Expressions in Rhythm Studio through marketing, outreach, and community engagement.

Ms. Pat — Studio Administrator

Ms. Pat brings a lifelong commitment to children and the arts. As a former daycare owner, she offers hands on experience in early childhood care and education while supporting the studio’s operations and community mission.
